Planned Parenthood of Indiana (PPIN) and the Independent Adoption Center (IAC) are proud to announce they have expanded their partnership, opening a second office in Bloomington. On June 12, the Bloomington health center welcomed Kathy Wilkerson, MSW, LSW. Kathy is an Open Adoption Counselor with the IAC and is on-site at the Bloomington Health Center one day a week. Since beginning her weekly trips to Bloomington, Kathy has become reacquainted with the Health Center she once volunteered at while a student at Indiana University.

"The presence of IAC on-site makes it more convenient and accessible for our clients requesting adoption information," said John Lewis, Bloomington health center manager. "We are offering every opportunity to every woman we see, to have access to the information she needs to make an informed decision."

The Bloomington Health Center is the second in the state to collaborate with the IAC, following the PPIN Georgetown facility in Indianapolis. The collaboration allows PPIN to better assist women with the option of adoption by offering professional counseling right down the hall.
